But there is no /f/ in 'way'!

Oh hi again. Maybe you can figure out that title is a shout out to the EBP assignment due shortly. Have you started it? I mean, really? I know plenty have yet to open a word doc and save it.

It was good to see some of the out-of-towners this weekend. It is great to hear people venting to others that really get it. And if provides a nice break for our families. :)

When you post your EBP paper, feel free to post a victory memo here. Also.....if you haven't already taken it, who want to start a study/drinking group for the March Praxis?

Best.

The First Day

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And now we can say we've begun the trek down for our winter externship. Booya!

Could be a nice thing if we all got to read about who was doing what and such.

My first day started with a movie. Or rather, a filmed lecture about high functioning autism/aspbergers. Then me, my slp, and other slps from 4j went to lunch! They were all talking about the movies they saw and the books they were reading-it gave me hope that recreational reading is in the future. The rest of the day was reviewing the caseload and just talking about the kids. Overall, not terrible, but I'm sure not the most exciting first day. How was yours?

And here we go!

Hi friends. This is Shelley, who you may remember as the one that does the crosswords during class and being family dinner hostess. This blog is for US as we bumble, gawk, attempt, and finally kick ass at our externships! We'll be able to give updates from our places, ask questions, share advice from our mentors, and just generally applaud each other.

Right now it is Sunday before we start. Tell us about your first day! What was awesome, what was a little mind-blowing. Miss you all.
